When I dropped the dev. from my website mountaingoattrail.org the pages no longer show a logo at the top, but instead a broken box. I can find the logo in my media -- mountain-goat-trail-547-59.gif -- but don't know how to put it back.

But when I go to Media Library, then click Edit it shows the file url as http://mountaingoatt...rail-547-59.gif ...?

Yes, but if you go to the PageLines site settings, and find the logo, it will still have the old URL, because you didnt change it
