Until last week, I had a background image on my website www.assessmentcoaching.nl. It was coded in the custom code section and showing up just fine on all browsers.
Last week I tried to change the background image to "lineaal.png". It is supposed to look like a kind of ruler along the top of the page. I uploaded the new image, copied the image URL and used it to replace the URL that was already there in the custom code section in PlatformPro. I also deleted the old image file in the media section.
However: the new image is not showing up for some reason! What did I do wrong?
(P.S. I have looked at many posts on this forum that seem to deal with the same issue but didn't manage to find a solution).
Thanks for your help!

I have visited your website and I noticed that you're using a really out dated version of both Platform Pro and Platform Base. The versions you're using are:
Platform Pro - 1.1.5.
Platform Base - 1.0.4.
The Current versions are"
Platform Pro - 1.5.3.
Platform Base - 1.4.1.
For security reasons, I recommend you backup your website/database/theme settings etc... and perform an update.
Also as far as I can see, your background image is missing. Here is the code used for your body background image.
body.fixed_width {
background-image: url('http://www.assessmentcoaching.nl/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/test.png');
background-position: 0px 0px;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
}

The URL for the background that you found is the one for the old image, for some reason the new URL that I posted (which points to the new image), is not being saved it seems? (It does save in the custom code section). Should I change it somewhere other than the custom code section?
I will try to do the updates a.s.a.p. and post the results here. Never noticed that they were so old.

Platform Pro - 1.5.3.
Platform Base - 1.4.1.
as suggested, but unfortunately I seem to need FTP access (at least I think I do after reading some of the other posts), which I don't have... I used to get these messages in after I login as admin telling me to update, but I don't have one for either. Is there another way?
Thanks!

I ended up moving my site to a different host so that I could get FTP access (will eventually need FTP access for more than just this). So, I am now able to upload files to update the themes.
But: where do I find the current version of the themes?
Platform Pro - 1.5.3.
Platform Base - 1.4.1.
I have checked my 'launchpad', it lists two "PlatformPro Base" files, but I can't discover what versions those are..
Coud you please help me out or point me to a help doc that tells me how to do this? Thanks!

The versions in Launchpad are always the latest versions. You already have the latest versions of PlatformPro and PlatformBase, so you don't need to upgrade.
I have been told by Danny that my versions are old (Platform Pro - 1.1.5.
Platform Base - 1.0.4. ) and I need to update. Good to know that the versions in LaunchPad are the latest, will try to upload these a.s.a.p. Thanks!

I have similar problem with PageLines Framework 2.3.5. on my site.
My problem is the background image don't show on Blog Archive and Jigoshop Product Archive pages. All other pages show the background image. I also notice that on Blog Archive page, Quick Slider doesn't work....
I have 2 other sites
http://www.reelmanguam.com
http://www.gtdsaafb.com
using almost same theme and plugins, but don't have this issue.
Any ideas?
