SITE:
My posts have no comment fields.
I checked off "allow people to post comments on new articles" in Discussion Settings.
I don't have commenting turned off anywhere that I can find, neither on the individual posts nor on the Blog Post Template.
Is there anywhere else I should check?

Make sure you have the Comments section active on your Blog Post template, in Drag and Drop.

Yes, it is active in the Blog Post template, in Drag and Drop, it is sitting under the Share Bar and above Post/Page Pagination.

Can you try deactivating all active plugins to see if the issue persists?

Thanks, all. I discovered the issue. The posts created while I had disabled commenting remain without comments available after having enabled them. Apparently that cannot be reversed. However, new posts do have comments enabled.

You can re-enable comments on old posts. Just edit the posts and check the box to allow comments.
