I've tried a couple of Yelp Plugins, but they don't appear to be compatible. What I'm thinking about doing is displaying a list of businesses in each town I have on my site. I thought I would see if anyone has done something similar with yelp or another plugin

I've never used a Yelp plugin or other similar plugin on a WordPress site. Have you tried searching for similar (non-Yelp) plugins in the WordPress plugin directory?
