When using Poedit while translating PageLines-specific expressions, I cannot pass through the line 'One Response to %2$s'. No matter what I translate that into (I've tried both numbers, text and symbols) it results in error which renders the .mo/.po files unusable. Can anyone verify this?

Forgive me for this rather silly question, but why translate a numeric value? Do numbers change from one language to another? Even Cyrillic languages can display Arabic numeric values and people understand them. Just translate the text and see if that works.
