Is this a safe plug in to use. I am just curious if it is secure to upload a back up copy of your site to another location?

Okay do you mean this one? http://wordpress.org...ugins/backuper/ Also, each week you could use Dashboard > Tools > Export for all your WP settings and our Export function in PlatformPro for your theme settings. If you can, get your host to do a frequent (weekly) backup.

I have not used that plugin before, but I do like WP-DBManager as it has automated options for backups, repairing, and optimizing.

I have Pagelines but don't know how to get Platform Pro please advise and what is the difference????

Platform Pro is one of our legacy themes, it was replaced by the Pagelines Framework. You can still use the plugin mentioned above within the Pagelines Framework. The tools>export function is part of wordpress so it is available in the Framework as well as Platform Pro

If I make backups with WP-DBManager, does it backup the Wordpress files (Filezilla files) as well? Or does it only backup the MySQL database.

 

And if it only backups the MySQL database what extra backups should I make in Wordpress itself?   For example: Tools: Export function  etc.
