I'm having trouble creating a static homepage. From the Wordpress dashboard, when clicking 'Visit Site', I want to have the slider (full size, centered), with the three boxes directly beneath (again, centered under the slider), without any content beneath. How do I edit this "splash" page? Thank you.

Please see: http://codex.wordpre...atic_Front_Page For your static homepage, you select the template you wish to use. That's how to get PL sections on that particular page. Once you have created the static page, you may alter it as you please using a variety of methods, including drag and drop of sections where you wish them to appear.
