Hopefully, someone can lend some assistance... I'm trying to create a page that has in the content section one post-loop section that will show recent post and another post-loop section that will show a syndication feed of news post. Not really sure how to accomplish this.

There may be a plugin for this. Are these "News" posts part of their own blog category?

yes they will have different categories. Do you know what plugin that would be?
