Is there a way (using custom fields probably?) to manually set an excerpt for a PAGE? The reason I want to do this is for the search function. Some of my pages have java script in them, and when any of those pages come up in a search it displays a nasty mess of javascript for the excerpt.
Thanks in advance! <3 the theme!
Example of what I mean: http://beta.wtcut.co...essment&x=0&y=0
Take a look at the second result.

Wordpress actually has an "excerpt" field built in. It's located on the page/post when you create or edit pages.

There is no excerpt field for pages, only for posts. (on the page creation / edit page area.)
Also I've set my site live so the address for the above link would now be http://www.wtcut.com...essment&x=0&y=0

Okay, so I found out that apparently WP at one point and time had page excerpts, but no longer for some weird reason.
Try this plugin though:
