I want to monetize this with tiered membership and also have a database of information that is accessible by the members who can add an amount of information based on their membership option. That database will also have to update in real time. Too much to ask for with PageLines or doable? If any developers would also like to drop me a line I'd appreciate that. Cheers, Mark.

Mark, PageLines can handle the front end, the question is more whether WordPress can handle the backend and whether you're prepared to provide the type of servers needed for that vast an operation. This would be incredibly memory intensive and need massive storage. So I'll refer you to writing to hello@pagelines.com to seek a professional developer for this.
