the posts after just (the older ones) just display only the summery? I know it was mentioned here on one of the answer to modify the template.postloop.php file, and add an if statement that says something like: if author page, display the_content(). If else, display the_excerpt. If you do modify that file, please make sure you've copied it to the base folder first. I do not know php syntax...can someone please help with with written this if statement? many thanks in advance.

It's possible to display full content in the older posts. You need to enable Full Post Content for Posts/Blog Page in the Blog And Posts settings.
