When I replace the footer logo in theme optionsfooter options with a picture (no matter the size or format), for some reason the link is always broken and and I either get a broken link icon or a square box. If I leave the field blank, the title of my website appears in large font.

Can you paste here exactly what you have pasted in the field marked Full Image URL ?
