How do you change the default text in the new Sharebar? I am using Framework 2.1.1 and iBlogPro5 5.1.1

J.D., Are you referring to things like Category, Tags, etc? That should be in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets but those appear to be default widgets. You might have to remove the widget, then replace it to get an option to edit. When you add a new widget usually there's a title space in the widget where you can specify the text for the header/title.

@rangelone, I'm trying to change what the sharebar text says, ie Change "SHARE ->" to "If you enjoyed this post, please share it:"

I found this in firebug:

<em class="pl-sharebar-text">Share →</em>

But I don't know how/where to change it.

You can change text strings with the language files. Please read this article from Simon: article

@jackey@melisgs.nl Thanks but this may be beyond me. I downloaded POedit and looked in my Pagelines Customize folder but don't see a pagelines.pot file in the directory.

The .pot file is in the /themes/pagelines/language folder.

The .mo and .po files you create have to go in the /plugins/pagelines-customize/language folder.

The name of the .mo and .po files depend on your current WordPress language setting.

You can find that setting in your /wp-config.php file.

There is a line down the bottom of the file:

define ('WPLANG', 'nl_NL');

The filenames need to correspond with the language code (in my case nl_NL.po and nl_NL.mo).

You can edit the .po file with poedit, when you save the file, a new .mo file will be created.

Hi guys,

I am also in the same boat as J.D... I want to change the text 'Share ->' to some other text. The entire website is created in English and there is no need for language support for this website. Is there another way to change the text without using the POedit?

You could create a filter in your function.php but using the language support files is the easy way to go. It also gives you easy access to all other text strings in pagelines.
