In the Theme Settings – Custom Code panel there is a text field where you can place your traditional Google Analytics snippet or other scripts that you’d like to load in the footer. There is also another text field for “Asynchronous Analytics”, which is a different type of snippet provided by Google. You can find more information on Asynchronous Analytics at code.google.com.

Header Scripts

If you need to manually add a stylesheet or other header script you can do so using the text field for “Header Scripts” which places code just before the end of the tag.

Also, sometimes plugins will require you to add a specified bit of code in this spot.
